Small village being between Morez and Chapelle of wood (Old glaciated
valley) or runs small a riviére named "Evalude" which comes from the
Lake Bellefontaine and the losses of Mortes, to descend the "cluse
from Morez" to join Bienne.
To also discover on the footpaths "the Gold book", place of worship of
the refractory priests during the revolution, in the forest of Risoux
of 1790 to 1890.
Also ways of smugglings towards Switzerland. While arriving of
Morbier you admire the viaducts of the way of the Swallows, built at

million frank gold.
It makes it possible to join Morez by a tunnel with 360° to allow the
trains passing the uneven one which separates the two cities.
The valley which joined Bellefontaine was cleared by the monks of
Saint-Claude to the 1ème and 1éme siécle (see the many stone heaps
visible in the combe of cives at the exit of Vault of Wood)
With the 16eme siécle Bellefontaine comprised 3 mills.
